Dr. Sasan Sani, MD

Dr. Sasan Sani is a co-founder of PulmoCrit Associates. His clinical focus is advanced lung disease — particularly pulmonary hypertension and pulmonary fibrosis — combined with a high-acuity critical care practice. He co-founded PulmoCrit immediately after completing his fellowship, establishing a specialist practice designed to bring subspecialty-level pulmonary care to the San Fernando Valley.

Training

Dr. Sani completed his undergraduate studies at UCLA, followed by a master's degree in physiology and his MD at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. He completed his internal medicine residency at UC Irvine and his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Board Certifications

Dr. Sani holds quadruple board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine: Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Neurocritical Care Medicine.

Hospital Affiliations & Leadership

Dr. Sani serves as Chair of Critical Care Medicine and Co-Director of the Critical Care Program at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills. He is also Medical Director of Providence Holy Cross Subacute. Together with his PulmoCrit partners, he has introduced advanced bronchoscopic procedures — including EBUS and endobronchial valve treatment — to Holy Cross, expanding what's available to patients in the Valley without having to travel to a downtown academic center.

Clinical Interests

Pulmonary arterial hypertension, pulmonary fibrosis and ILD, advanced bronchoscopy, and high-acuity critical care. Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a complex, high-acuity condition that requires dedicated subspecialty experience; Dr. Sani has focused his practice specifically in this area since completing his Cedars-Sinai fellowship.
