Pulmonary Research

Pulmonary research at PulmoCrit Associates

Clinical Research Program

PulmoCrit Associates is committed to advancing the science of pulmonary and sleep medicine through active participation in clinical research. Our physicians are involved in investigational studies aimed at developing new and improved treatments for a wide range of respiratory and sleep disorders.

Clinical research trials give eligible patients access to cutting-edge therapies that may not yet be widely available. By participating in a clinical study, patients contribute to the future of medicine while receiving close monitoring and expert care from our board-certified pulmonologists.

Conditions Under Active Study

We are currently enrolling — or have previously enrolled — patients in studies involving:

  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) — novel bronchodilators, anti-inflammatory agents, and exacerbation prevention strategies.
  • Asthma & Severe Asthma — biologic therapies targeting specific inflammatory pathways (e.g., IL-4, IL-5, IL-13, IgE).
  • Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) — antifibrotic compounds and disease progression studies.
  • Pulmonary Hypertension — vasodilatory and remodeling-targeted therapies.
  • Sleep Apnea & Sleep Disorders — novel treatment approaches and device studies.
  • Progressive Pulmonary Fibrosis (PPF) — studies targeting fibrotic progression in non-IPF interstitial lung diseases.
  • Bronchiectasis — investigational therapies aimed at reducing exacerbations, airway inflammation, and disease progression.
  • Lung Cancer & Pulmonary Nodules — early detection, surveillance, and minimally invasive diagnostic studies.

Am I Eligible to Participate?

Each clinical study has specific eligibility criteria based on your age, diagnosis, medical history, and current medications. Our team will review your information to determine whether you may qualify for an active study. There is no obligation — participation is always voluntary.

  • You must be an established patient or be willing to establish care with PulmoCrit Associates.
  • A confirmed or suspected pulmonary or sleep condition relevant to the active study.
  • Willingness to attend required study visits and follow the study protocol.
  • Meeting any specific medical criteria determined by the study sponsor.
